Privacy Policy — Chameleon
This policy describes how Chameleon handles information. Chameleon is a visual theming extension for supported AI chat websites. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or any AI provider.
Short version
- We do not read, store, or send your chat messages or prompts to our servers.
- Theme settings live in your browser (
chrome.storage.local). - If you check Share to gallery, the extension may talk to Supabase only for theme catalog data—never your conversations. Sharing is off by default.
- We do not sell your data.
What the extension does
Chameleon injects styles (CSS) and light page scripts on supported sites so you can change colors, fonts, backgrounds, and related visual options. Supported sites currently include ChatGPT (chatgpt.com / chat.openai.com) and Claude (claude.ai).

You can clear this by removing the extension or clearing extension data in Chrome.
Data that may leave your device
Community gallery (optional). If Supabase is configured, the extension may download published theme metadata (name, author display name, palette JSON, tags). If you publish a theme, palette data you choose to share may be uploaded. Large media backgrounds are not intended for public gallery publishing.
Chameleon does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs in the extension package as shipped for store review.

What we do not do
- Collect your AI prompts or responses for our database
- Sell personal information
- Use your data for credit decisions or unrelated advertising profiles
Children
Chameleon is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. The “Last updated” date will change when we do.
